What is Stress?

Stress: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances – Oxford English Dictionary


According the the National Institute of Health, everyone feels stressed from time to time and not all stress is bad. All animals have a stress response, and it can be life-saving. But chronic stress can cause both physical and mental harm.


Chronic stress – 

The result of routine life demands from work, family or other responsibilities. It can also be brought on by a sudden negative life change like loss of a job, divorce or illness.
