"This class gave me the tools to slow down, de-stress and to just be me. I am using what I learned here everyday."

"Reducing stress and anxiety had a significant positive affect on my health and life, to the degree that my entire family noticed the difference. If you give it your all, the rewards can be life changing."

"After my mind, body & soul crashed due to stress, I searched for anything that could provide relief. I found information on this course and was glad that it was nearby—one less stressor!"

“As a mental health clinician and a sometimes-meditator, I was very excited to find that MBSR was being offered by IHS. Professionally, I am always looking for tools that might help my clients tap into their own inner resources to promote growth and healing. Personally, I was seeking to deepen my commitment to my own mindfulness practice.”

"I read that meditation can be an effective non-chemical means of dealing with and approaching life and (after completing the class) can say that I agree. I feel I'm better equipped to deal with both problems & stress."

"Mindfulness helps me to recognize when my mind races ahead with worries or goes backwards with regrets.”

"I've really enjoyed the combination of teaching, sharing and practice. The full day of mindfulness was powerful."

“I brought my blood pressure down so much during the MBSR class, my doctor wants to take me off of my medication in about a month or two. Halfway through the MBSR classes, my average was 117/75. It's been about 8 weeks since the course ended and my BP last Friday was 106/68."

"This class taught me how to settle my mind, and approach my daily tasks in a slower and easier way. I have learned to breathe. I have even learned to be more forgiving of myself."
