I'm Stephanie Gove, and prior to opening Integrative Health Services, I was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island/The Health & Wellness Institute as a full-time health coach. During that time I had the pleasure of working with more than two hundred clients who came to me (via worksite wellness programming) with a broad spectrum of health and wellness goals.
That experience gave me the clarity to see how effective and important integrative medicine was not only to my life, but to theirs as well. I worked with a stressed-out executive who suffered from fibromyalgia and witnessed changes in his mood, energy level and perspective on his chronic pain when he started taking yoga. I also recall guiding a client through a meditation exercise and learning a week later that she has slept for six hours straight (more than she had in years!). Conventional medicine had been unable to assist these clients, and while I have a deep respect and understanding for it, I know in my heart that it is not the whole answer.
In 2013, with a deep passion and belief in the power of complementary medicine, I took the leap and opened IHS with the intention of offering holistic stress management for body, mind and spirit.
I use the latest evidence-based training and techniques from Duke Integrative Medicine and the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness – two of the most respected and recognized credentialing organizations in the integrative medical industry.
I encourage you to look deeply at all of the services offered here and if they should resonate with you; welcome the opportunity to discuss how IHS can assist you in your wellness needs.
