To know what we are doing while we are doing it is the most basic definition of mindfulness. From there, we can notice habits of mind —our thoughts, and habits of body—our actions.
This awareness creates a space and the agency to decided and have a say in our responsive behavior.
Mind Body Connection
When we can pay attention to our bodies, we are able to understand that there is a link between our thinking self and our physical self.
Transformation takes place at the level of this understanding.
